I adapt COAs developed in other English-speaking countries for use in Australia, ensuring conceptual equivalence with the source as well as linguistic and cultural appropriateness for Australia.
I translate COAs developed for use in French- and Spanish-speaking countries back into English as part of the linguistic validation process, ensuring that translations are as literal as possible.
I work on the migration of paper COAs to electronic formats and conduct quality assurance on migrations involving other languages, proofreading eCOA screens to ensure complete accuracy.
About
I’ve been providing language services to CROs and specialist LSPs since 2013.
I’ve worked on a wide range of COAs used to measure outcomes in adults and children who are participating in clinical trials, as well as instruments for their carers and clinicians.
I have a 4-year Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) degree from Macquarie University, which included many units on statistics, research methods and psychometric testing. I also have an MA in Translation from the University of Bristol.
